Jordan Bernt Peterson is a Canadian clinical psychologist and a professor of psychology at the University of Toronto.

Peterson gained notoriety for his opposition to Canadian bill C-16, passed on 19June2017, that mandates(have to use) pronoun use for transgender and gender-diverse Canadians under the country's human rights and hate-crime laws. He argued that the bill was an infringement on free speech and that it could lead to a compelled speech. He has also been criticized for his views on the biological differences between men and women, and his opposition to what he perceives as the encroachment of postmodernism and Marxism in academic and political discourse. In recent years, Peterson has faced personal and health challenges, including a dependence on benzodiazepines and a period of treatment in a rehabilitation clinic. As of 2021, he has largely withdrawn from public life.

Despite the controversy surrounding his views, Jordan Peterson has gained a large following of people who see him as a defender of traditional values and a critic of political correctness. He has been euqally well know for the following books he has authored...
